Low Vision: One of the “Emerging Fields” of Practice in Occupational Therapy

The Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel recently stated that we are the “. . . region's leading resource on vision impairment and vision rehabilitation.” We are seeking a talented, part-time occupational therapist interested in low vision rehabilitation to join our vision rehabilitation team. We will provide training!

Job Duties Include:
  • Providing low vision services in a clinical environment serving adults (primarily seniors). Flexible schedule, approximately 20 hours per week.
  • Working within a multidisciplinary vision rehabilitation team that includes optometry, technology, occupational therapy, and vision rehabilitation.

Job Requirements Include:
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a licensed occupational therapist.
  • A strong interest in low vision services and a willingness to learn. Experience working in the area of low vision is a plus!
  • Experience working with the older population.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a successful track record of working in a multidisciplinary team.
