2008 Art Exhibit

Showcasing the abilities of artists with vision loss

The work of six artists who are blind or visually impaired is on display and for sale at the Badger Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired. We invite you to join us in our celebration of their work by visiting the exhibit.

"People don’t realize that if someone loses their vision, they do not lose their inner passions; it’s possible that their passion becomes even deeper with their new perception of their environment," claims Rose Fortney, one of the featured artists. She and others too often hear people saying that they have to give up pieces of their life, like art, because they begin to lose their vision. “Vision loss is not a reason to stop being who you are. You just need to discover new ways of doing the things you love," Rose offers.
