Community Outreach and Speakers Bureau

The tradition of educating the public about issues surrounding vision loss continues as the Badger Association’s staff and volunteers make presentations to dozens of groups including senior communities and schools and participate in health fairs throughout the year. The Badger Association also frequently hosts  open houses and low vision discovery days at our main campus.

The Badger Association’s community outreach program aims to reduce the societal stigma associated with vision loss and to raise awareness of the services available to assist individuals experiencing changing vision. Our speakers provide educational information on common eye diseases like macular degeneration and glaucoma, available low vision services and popular adaptive vision products. The audience for these presentations are diverse, ranging from school age youth to senior citizens.

The Badger Association is committed to an ongoing effort to increase service provision and awareness of vision loss in minority and underserved communities. Community outreach is vital to our pursuit of this goal.

For more information about scheduling a presentation, please contact our Speakers Bureau or call 414-615-0102.
