Join Us for Dinner

Each month the Badger Association coordinates dinner out at one of Milwaukee’s fine restaurants. Transportation is available from the Badger Association for $3, departing at 5:00 pm. Dinner at 5:30 p.m. Registration deadline is one week prior to each dinner.

Play Ball!—Brewers vs. Cubs

Wednesday, July 30, 5:00 to end-of-game
Badger Association and Miller Park
Cost: $30 for food, ticket, and transportation from the Badger Association. Game time is
7:05 p.m.

The fun will begin with great baseball fare in air-conditioned comfort at non-Miller-Park prices. Then we will travel to the game to cheer for our favorite team. Don't strike out and miss the fun. Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 16

Volunteer Appreciation Celebration

Help thank the instructors and volunteers that make the LEAP classes possible. There will be great entertainment, food and Bingo. Bingo will begin at 6:30 and cost to play is $2, to be used for prizes. Registration Deadline: Thursday, August 28

Morning Tandem Bike Ride

Saturday, September 13, 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Meeting at Badger Association. Cost is $5.

This is a great way to enjoy the fall weather and get some exercise, too. Participation may be limited, so sign up early. Registration Deadline: Friday, August 29

Dog Guide Awareness Day

Sunday, September 14, 2008

We invite all dog guide users and friends to join us for Dog Guide Awareness Day. Learn about dog guide etiquette, what it’s like to work with a dog guide, and hear Dr. Beyerinck (Silver Spring Animal Care Center) present First Aid tips for dogs. A variety of vendors will also be available with specialty items for families and dogs. Cost: $3 for transportation from the Badger Association. Milwaukee Boat Line Cruise and Dinner at Joey Buona's

Sunday, September 21, 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Cost: $20 for ticket and transportation from the Badger Association.

Begin your Sunday with a 90-minute cruise on the Milwaukee River as you sip your favorite drink from the cash bar. Then join us for dinner at Joey Buona's, famous for pizza, chops, and steaks. Payment Policies

 
  1. In most cases, the Recreational Services Department must receive   payment for an event in which an individual wants to participate at least one week before the event takes place.
  2. There are some events that require payment in advance.  These events will be noted in the Events Flyer, and the payment schedule may be different.  For example, payment may need to be received a month before the event takes place.
  3. If you must cancel your participation in an event, a substitute may take your place, so that you will not be losing any money.  It is primarily your responsibility to find this substitute, though you may call the Recreational Services office to see if there is a waiting list for the event.
  4. If a substitute cannot be found, the Recreational Services Department will be unable to refund money for the event.
  5. If an event is cancelled by the Recreational Services Department, each participant's money will be refunded for the cancelled event.

Typically, when transportation is provided from the Badger Association, the time listed is the time we will leave from the Badger Association.  All participants and volunteers are asked to arrive at the Badger Association at least fifteen minutes before the scheduled departure.  Return times may vary, depending on the needs of participants and volunteers.
