Structured Training Education Program (S.T.E.P.)

The Structured Training Education Program, (STEP) assists people with changing vision to continue hobbies and leisure time activities through the use of adaptive techniques which will allow them to be as independent as possible. These skills will be presented by specialists in vision rehabilitation and therapists in occupational, physical, and recreation therapies. STEP courses are carefully designed with specific, clearly-defined, measurable goals and objectives. Class length will vary from four to eight weeks. After completing STEP courses, participants will have the skills to pursue hobbies and recreational activities in their home communities and/or participate in other recreation programming at the Badger Association.
