Adaptive Computer Technology Training

In a fully equipped computer lab, participants learn to use the latest in adaptive technology. Computer classes allow students to develop skills that enable them to pursue their careers, earn advanced degrees, keep track of personal finances and keep in touch with loved ones.

In our computer classes, we evaluate whether a person requires screen magnification (software to make use of the students remaining vision) or screen reading software (software which speaks what is typed and what is seen). Scanners and scanning software enable print material to be spoken. After the appropriate adaptive software is determined, computer skills in the following areas are taught:

  • Windows
  •  Word Processing
  •  Internet — email and World Wide Web
  •  Spread Sheets
  •  Financial Management Programs

Check out our current schedule of adaptive computer classes.
