Excellence Award

Hawley Ridge Apartments has received a national honor from the Charles L. Edison Tax Credit Excellence Awards, presented annually by the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition, a national group of developers, syndicators, lenders, nonprofit groups, public agencies and others involved with affordable housing tax credits.

Hawley Ridge Apartments was the winning entry in the category of "Special Needs" housing. This 58-unit apartment building was developed by the Badger Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired and was specifically designed for people with vision loss. Hawley Ridge has proven to be the answer for people who are visually impaired who seek independent style housing.

The Charles L. Edison Tax Credit Excellence Awards was presented in Washington, D.C. on May 14, 2003. Wisconsin residents can e proud that Affordable Housing Tax Credits, as administered in Wisconsin, offer affordable housing for everyone.
