Education & Training Groups

Two rehabilitation services consumers who are visually impaired.

What Do I Do Now?

For individuals experiencing changing vision due to macular degeneration, glaucoma and other eye conditions. We will focus on strategies and techniques for successfully living with changing vision. We will explore effective self advocacy, work on building a positive self image, and identify community resources to meet your changing vision needs.

Wednesdays, February 4, 11, 18, 25, and March 4

9:00 – 10:30 a.m.

To Help Or Not To Help?

For family members, friends, and caregivers of people living with changing vision. We will discuss topics focused on providing support for people living with changing vision, as well as the impact of these changes on the individual, family, and friends.

Tuesdays, February 3, 10, 17, 24, and March 3

6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

These educational series will be held at the Badger Association, 912 N. Hawley Rd., Milwaukee, WI 53213.

There are more than 60,000 individuals in Milwaukee living with vision changes. Please
print out an Education and Information Groups flyer to pass along to anyone that could benefit from these groups.
