You may be aware of the beneficial programs and services the Badger Association offers. The Vision Rehabilitation Services program helps people acquire skills to get their independence back, while others find a chance to enjoy their hobbies or attend community events through the Recreational Services program.
Hundreds of people would not have access to these types of programs without the assistance of our volunteers. Volunteers offer their time by providing transportation for individuals to get to the Badger Association for training, classes or meetings. <./p>
Dennis Ameden is a long time volunteer who is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure people have a safe and reliable ride. As long as Dennis is available, he is quick to hop in the van to help out.
The entire Badger Association staff would like to thank Dennis and all of the other volunteers who allow so many people living with vision loss to participate in our programs.
The Volunteers In Visual Assistance (VIVA) program is always looking for new volunteers who are willing to donate their time by providing transportation. Volunteers can utilize Badger Association vehicles or if they choose to use their own vehicle, mileage reimbursement is offered. If you or someone you know are interested in becoming a driver volunteer, contact the Volunteer Coordinator or call 414-615-0103.
